Coach
Michelle Bailey
– Women's Volleyball Head Coach
Michelle Bailey, head
coach of the Charger Women's Volleyball team, is a former Charger player
herself. Michelle has played volleyball and basketball throughout
her athletic career - in elementary and junior high and for Clear Lake
High School in senior high. At the collegiate level she was a
member of the UW-Stout Lady Blue Devils basketball team for one season
and played three semesters for the UW-BC Chargers. She then became
the assistant coach of the Charger women's basketball team under Coach
Ron Hagen.
Michelle coached the Turtle Lake Junior High Girls' Basketball team for
two seasons and, for the past four years, has been the volunteer coach
for the Rice Lake-Cameron Girls' Basketball League.
Professionally, Michelle has
worked as a deputy sheriff-dispatcher-jailer with the Rusk County
Sheriff Department and as a correctional officer with the Barron County
Sheriff Department. Currently Michelle is an office assistant in
the Student
Services Office at UW-BC and also works part-time at a community-based
rehabilitation facility for women.
She has also volunteered to coach youth basketball, baseball and soccer.
