Snow White
The classic children’s fairy tale “Snow White” is the final offering in the Best of Broadway theatre season. This enchanting story will be presented on Friday and Saturday, May 2 and 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the University of Wisconsin-Barron County Fine Arts Theatre in Rice Lake.
“Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?” We all know the reply to this and soon we are caught up in the spell of this enchanting classic. The vain and wicked Queen seeks to destroy her rival in beauty. The dwarves are obstinate, generous, mean, kind, and totally appealing. The Prince is a true Prince, sometimes foolish, always brave, and Snow White is as lovely and lovable as the legend says.
Cast members are Gretchen Christianson of Haugen as Snow White, Paulette Ponick of Rice Lake as the Queen, Bradley Lamphere of Turtle Lake as the huntsman/Prince, Tim Accola of Weyerhaeuser as Grumpy, Santiago Romero of Barron as Sleepy, Sara Miller of Barron as Happy, Daniel Lamphere of Turtle Lake as Dopey, Lacey Jeske of Barron as Bashful, Nicole Osward of Rice Lake as Doc, Ian Pongratz of Cameron as Sneezy, Theresa Erbs of Chippewa Falls as the old peasant woman (Queen’s alter ego), and Anna Kurynski of Rice Lake as the young princess and a witch (Queen’s alter egos).
