SAM Series


The final presentation of the Science & Mathematics Lecture Series will be “Sustainable Community Development in the Context of Climate Change and Peak Oil” with Dr. Kelly Cain.

This lecture is scheduled for Friday, March 28 at 12 noon in the Ritzinger Hall Blue Hills Lecture Hall at the University of Wisconsin-Barron County in Rice Lake. This lecture, which is open to the public at no charge, will run approximately one hour. Attendees are welcome to bring their lunch or purchase lunch from the Riverside Café.

Dr. Cain is a professor in Environmental Science and Management at UW-River Falls. He has taught there for over 20 years and is a director of the St. Croix Institute for Sustainable Community Development. He is also the co-coordinator of the UW-River Falls Sustainable Community Development Masters program and coordinator of the Wildlife Recreation and Nature Tourism graduate certificate program.
