Textbook Rental

UW-BC is one of the few UW campuses to have a textbook rental system. This means that a textbook rental fee is collected as part of your tuition. The textbook rental system saves students hundreds of dollars each semester as books do not have to be purchased.

Rental textbooks for on-campus courses are available for semester-long check-out in the library during regular hours. Some textbooks are available for purchase.

All textbooks are due by the last day of finals each semester.  Please note that fines are charged for damages and overdue fines are charged for each day a textbook is late.  Total replacement costs (in addition to overdue & damage fines and processing fees) are charged for all textbooks not ten days after the last final.  No credit will be given for books returned after that date.  Blocks will be placed on student accounts with outstanding library fines.  Transcripts will not be issued until all library books are returned, and all library fines and fees are paid.  See textbook checkout procedures.

Students do have to purchase certain course materials (such as lab manuals, workbooks, required readings, etc.). These items can be purchased at the Business Office in Meggers Hall from 8 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.
