The UW-BC Library is located straight west of Meggers Hall (the administration
building). The Library has open stacks arranged by Library of Congress
call numbers and an alphabetical arrangement of periodicals &
textbooks. The Library
houses a collection of over 40,000 books,
more than 90 periodical titles, over 200 DVDs, over 550 VHS tapes,
over 50 Books-on-tape on Cassette or CD, over 50 music CDs, and over 9,000 microforms. In addition
we have access to
full text eBooks.
The Library has computers with Internet access available for you to
search online catalogs of Wisconsin libraries and electronic
databases. The circulation system provides easy check-out
to students through the use of their ID's. Interlibrary
loan from other UW Colleges, UW System, and other libraries vastly expands
students’ research possibilities. The UW-BC Student General
Access Computer Lab is located in the library. Additional lab computers
are also in available, all can be used for
word processing, email, additional Internet searching, and other programs
are available.

Food
and Drink
The work area near the Compressed Video Classroom contains the soft
drink and snack machines.
These refreshments are welcome throughout the Library, with the
exception of our computers. We ask that you do not eat while using
the computers.
Drinks with closable screw caps or push/pull caps are allowed.
New
Books
As new books are purchased they are placed on the New Book Table located
in the central aisle as you walk through the Library. These books are eligible for
immediate check-out.

Photocopy
Service
A photocopier/printer is located behind the Circulation Desk. This copy machine also serves as the printer for the computer lab. Color copies and color
transparencies are also available from scanned materials or electronic
files. Ask at the Circulation Desk. A digital
microfiche/film reader/printer is located near the circulation desk. Copies can be printed or saved to a disk.
Printing costs for the microform copier are the same as for the copier.
UW-BC students get 200 free prints each semester. The printing
costs are in the table below.

Reference
Materials
The Library also contains a large collection of reference materials
in the Reference Room. This collection includes a microfilm, maps, and university
archives.
