At the 2006 Annual Conference of the American Library Association (ALA), in New Orleans, LA Zora J. Sampson, Director-Library/Information and Instructional Technology, University of Wisconsin-Barron County acted as moderator of the program entitled : The Technology of Outreach: how technology supports the connection. This panel of experts represented Special, Academic, Public and Tribal libraries described programs using technology to reach further and better. The long history of commitment driving the use of technology was celebrated and some of today’s hot new outreach efforts were highlighted. Whether you are in technical services, administration, outreach coordinator and library supporter interested in trying something new, your questions are welcomed and encouraged.
