About

I was born and raised in rural Wisconsin and the first of several in my family to receive a college degree. I received my Bachelors of Art from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay where I was fortunate to receive several scholarships including a scholarship from Anderson Ranch in Snowmass, Colorado where I had the honor to study under Ed Paschke. I continued my education at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where I received my Masters of Fine Arts in Painting. While at Miami University I received several grants, one of which gave me the opportunity to see Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s The Gates exhibition in Central Park, New York City. After receiving my MFA I returned to the University of Green Bay and taught all levels of painting and drawing, as well as 2D Design. I try to travel as much as possible both domestically and abroad. I have had the opportunity to travel abroad for extended periods of time in Peru, Bolivia, and Scotland. I enjoy canoeing, kayaking, hiking, biking, knitting, sewing, reading, and try to get as much studio time as possible.
