Placement Testing

In order to determine the level of placement in college English composition and math classes, students need to complete the UW System English and Math Placement exams. Optional foreign language exams are also available in French, German and Spanish. These tests must be taken prior to attending an advising/registration session and before enrolling in the first college English composition or math course. Only battery-operated, silent, non-graphing calculators are acceptable for use during the math exam. Each test is 90 minutes in length.

Several testing dates are scheduled in the spring and summer. Further information regarding placement tests will be sent to students who have been admitted.
